Tips

You should not send valuable originals in your portfolio. Photographic, audio, video, or digitally copied examples of your art are suggested for your submission.

Website links are discouraged as presentation is a component of your submission, as well as the necessity of your file being examined by various individuals as it is assessed. However, if you choose to, ensure that you have a labelled folder with accompanying printed paper requirements (resume, arts statement, index contextualizing slides/images) and include a memory stick with key pieces, in case the link does not work.

If you have questions about applying to the Artist in Community program, please contact: Aynne Johnston, Artist in Community Education Co-Coordinator, by email at aynne.johnston@queensu.ca. At the discretion of the Artist in Community Education selection committee, some candidates may be contacted in January and asked to attend an interview in February.
