To support teachers’ dedication to providing enriching and holistic learning opportunities for their students, Queen’s Continuing Teacher Education (CTE) offers Post-Graduate Certificates for teachers in Ontario and British Columbia. The certificates consist of five online courses.
Teachers, who have successfully completed a Post-graduate Certificate with CTE, can receive advanced standing in selected Professional Master of Education (PME) courses. Two following courses may be applied towards our PME, a part-time and course-based master’s degree offered fully online:
- PME 800—Self-Regulated Learning
- PME 811— Innovation in Teaching and Learning
Ontario Teachers
Post-Graduate certificates for Ontario teachers are comprised of five AQ and ABQ courses approved by the Ontario College of Teachers. Certificates are based on specific challenges that Ontario teachers face in the classroom. Our courses are created and instructed by experienced Ontario teachers from across the province. Each course is infused with Ontario Ministry of Education policies, OCT regulations, and current research-driven theory.
Teachers in Ontario can choose to enroll in the following certificates:
- Experiential Education and Global Leadership
- First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Studies
- Principal's Qualification Program
- Reading and Literacy
- Special Education
- Teaching English Language Learners
- Teacher Leadership
- Teaching Mathematics
BC Teachers
CTE has created BC TQS approved post-graduate certificates that are based on the specific challenges that BC teachers face within their classrooms. Our courses are created and instructed by experienced BC teachers from across the province. Each course is infused with BC Ministry of Education policies and curriculum, and with current research-driven theory.

Saskatchewan Teachers
Saskatchewan educators face a constantly shifting teaching environment.
CTE has created fully online post-graduate certificates that are recognized by SPTRB as eligible for use as an Integrated AQC program. Certificates are based on the current needs and challenges that K-12 educators currently face in Saskatchewan.
So that you gain the most meaningful learning transfer and application to your teaching practice, our courses are both written and taught by highly experienced subject matter experts from across Saskatchewan. Each course is infused with evidence-based best practices within the context of policies, procedures, and curriculum from the SK Ministry of Education
