Building Updates

Fencing has been added around Duncan McArthur Hall's A-Wing.

  • Entrances
  • The accessible ramp at the front entrance of Duncan McArthur Hall along with the front entrance near the library will be closed from April 15 to May 15. During this time, the north courtyard entrance will be open and available for accessible entry to the building. The entrances along the east side of the building will also be open during this period.
  • Parking
  • The north upper parking lot behind Duncan McArthur Hall is closed.
  • The other parking lots around West Campus will remain available to permit holders and guests using HONK mobile, however, there will be significant construction traffic on the north approach to Duncan McArthur Hall while project work is ongoing.
  • There is an additional parking lot available to the West of Duncan McArthur Hall, off of Hargreaves Way - located behind Jean Royce.
  • Bike racks: the closest bike racks to the rear entrance of Duncan McArthur Hall are at the John Orr Tower residence. There is also a bike rack located next to the library entrance at the front of the building, but you will have to carry your bike up the stairs to access it.
  • The Quiet Space for Prayer, Reflection, Meditation, and Decompression has been moved to B174 near Student Street. If you require any assistance, please contact EDHELP or chaplain@queensu.ca.
  • A343 is available to use as a space to eat, with a microwave available. Microwaves are also available in the tech wing and outside B217.

If you see anything unsafe or not accessible around the building throughout the construction, please contact EdHelp and put RENO in the email subject.
