Casually Cool Dance Club

CCDC is a Queen's student club that aims to build a fun, inclusive, and accessible dance community. Our club features choreography and KPOP dance and attends street dance competitions representing Queen’s. We host dance and social events that are open to the public, creating more opportunities for people to showcase their passion for dance.

Isabelle Li

Isabelle Li is an upper-year ConEd music and biology student. She is also a guitarist who specializes in classic punk rock.

Elin Chen

Hey Queens! I'm a first-year Con-Eddie and I'm hoping to major in physics. Can't wait to play some indie covers and original songs for you all. Sending all the CONED LOVE!!!

Emma Kathleen Gardner

I’m in my second year of ConEd. I’ve always loved the arts since I was little, and had a growing interest in songwriting. It was only in highschool that I started writing my own songs as a way to express difficult emotions (in a way that sounds nice).

Learn more about the big day!

EdFest warmly welcomes all alumni of the Faculty of Education, regardless of their location.  If you are coming to Homecoming we invite you to join us for EdFest. Furthermore, the event is not limited to just Queen's University alumni; it is open to all, including family, friends, community supporters, children, grandchildren (encouraged to wear Queen's swag), and of course current students. We extend our invitation to anyone eager to celebrate the enchantment of education and the arts, so please feel free to share this invitation with others!

The Community Initiatives Fund supports our students by allowing us to bring in experts from the community and, allows us to share our expertise with the community. This fund helps support programs like Sistema Kingston, our podcast Popular Podagogy, our Arts Infusion Committee and our Communities of Practice that offer important workshops on topics like Literacy to our teaching community, and so much more.

Your support is critical in helping us to continue building these programs and adding many more.

Art-Based Programs & Initiatives at Queen's

Learn about the different arts-based programs and initiatives that are offered by the Faculty of Education at Queen's University.

Artist in Community Education

Interested in pursuing arts-based education? The Artist in Community Education (ACE) is designed for practicing artists in visual art, music, drama, dance, film, and creative writing.

ACE candidates explore arts-based teaching methodologies with hands-on activities. They are encouraged to explore other art forms within their studies to provide them with an understanding of all arts, beyond their own arts specialization. This provides all candidates with knowledge of all forms and the creativity and aesthetics that connect them.

Learn more here.

Arts Infusion Committee

The Arts Infusion Committee was established in 2021 to maintain a strong presence for the arts and arts-infused learning in the Faculty of Education. They aim to engage the Faculty of Education community in artistic experiences that deepen connections with the self, with others, and with learning across disciplines.
