Hello!  My name is Stuart David and I am a B.Ed. Teacher Candidate in the Primary/Junior Divisions with a concentration in Outdoor and Experiential Education. 

The Outdoor and Experiential Education (OEE) program has a unique start in September called Field Camp.  At Field Camp all 27 Teacher Candidates in the OEE program get together at Frontenac Park Scout Camp on Otter Lake and spend 5 days completing activities, sleeping in tents, cooking some amazing food and getting to know each other.

My name is Christopher Mangaser and I am an Outdoor and Experiential Education Teaching Candidate here at Queens University. I have previously attended the University of Ontario Institute of Technology taking a Criminology Degree with sights on becoming a police officer.

The World of Acronyms at Queen's Education

An advantage was that I had done my undergraduate, B.Ed., and M.Ed. degrees all at Queen’s so when I entered the world of acronyms (i.e., EGSS, ESMHI, RBJSE), they were familiar and I was eager to get involved.

I am constantly amazed by the multitude of paths that my fellow graduate students have taken to our program.

As an aspiring educator enrolled in the Queen’s B.Ed. program I have been inside a wide variety of high school classrooms, teaching and observing almost every stream of mathematics education from grade 9 applied to grade 12 academic.

You may have seen furry-faced Leo around the halls of Duncan McArthur Hall alongside his “Puppy Raiser” Teacher Candidate Yannick Wong (Con.Ed. ’18).

My name is Maggie Chan and I am a consecutive B.Ed. candidate in the Intermediate-Senior division with a specialization in International Education. In being a part of the Queen’s Faculty of Education, I have been given the opportunity to meet amazing people as well as participate in incredible experiences.
