Hire our Graduates

Our team is here to help you recruit our teacher candidates, whether you are looking to post a job or promote your school/organization on our campus. We invite you to recruit throughout the year with many opportunities to connect with our teacher candidates in our Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Education programs and students in our Master of Education and PhD programs.

Our B.Ed./Dip.Ed. programs run over a 16-month period, from May to the following August. Typically, we will have 500-550 teacher candidates in the following areas: Primary & Junior (grades JK-6, some with French as a Second Language certification); Intermediate & Senior (grades 7-12: each teacher candidate will be certified in two teaching subjects, some with French); and Technological Education. We also have talented MEd and PhD. students who may be of interest to you.

Posting a Job

If you would like to post a vacancy with us – whether it be a teaching or teaching-related position – please contact us at ed.careers@queensu.ca

Pop-up Booths

Your representatives can arrange to set up a table in a high-traffic area at our Faculty to connect with our teacher candidates. Pop-up tables can be booked on weekdays from September through April. Recommended timing is 10 am - 2 pm We will work with you to determine the best time of year to reach your target audience. Contact us for more information at ed.careers@queensu.ca.

Information Sessions

Information sessions are a great way for you to connect with talented Queen’s teacher candidates. Our team will help to make the necessary arrangements, including booking a room, providing tech support, and promoting the session to teacher candidates.

Information sessions are available Monday-Thursday and are usually scheduled during the lunch break, so all teacher candidates will have the opportunity to attend. Sessions typically last 45 minutes but can be altered depending on your needs. We will work with you to determine the best time of year to reach your target audience.

Book Your Visit

To book your visit for recruitment purposes, contact us at ed.careers@queensu.ca. One of our advisors will coordinate the best time for you to come to Queen’s to promote your job vacancies to our teacher candidates.

Starting January 2019, the new fees are:

  • Information Session: $100
  • Pop-up Booth: $150
  • Information Session and Pop-up Booth: $200 All fees are in Canadian dollars.

The fees include promotion to our students and technical support (if applicable).

Options Career Fair

At Options, you will be able to set up display booth and hold a presentation to market your school or organization, and to advertise your job opportunities to our B.Ed./Dip.Ed. candidates and graduate students. If you are an administrator in an accredited international school looking to hire one of our talented Canadian teachers, TORF is the event for you.
