Advice for New Students

Buckle up- this journey is part academic adventure, part personal transformation! Be ready to learn, unlearn, and maybe even relearn a few things. It's not just about reading textbooks or course material-it's about growing, reflecting, and connecting with people who’ll challenge and inspire you. Use every resource like it’s a secret weapon, keep a to-do list that’s more loyal than your coffee mug, and never hesitate to reach out-your peers and profs are in your corner. Remember, you’re not climbing this mountain alone-we are all on the trail with you.

How do you fit this program into your life?

Balancing full-time teaching with studies requires intentional planning. I usually dedicate early mornings or late evenings during weekdays to coursework and reserve longer study sessions for weekends. I use digital planners and to-do lists to break down tasks, and I give myself grace when things don’t go as planned. It’s about finding rhythm, not perfection.
