Advice for New Students

My advice to new students would be to really engage in the discussions—they’re a fantastic way to learn from your peers, especially since everyone comes from such diverse backgrounds. As teachers, we have a lot to share, and those conversations are invaluable. Also, be sure to use your time wisely. Rather than rushing to finish the program, focus on enjoying the process and embracing each step along the way.

How do you fit this program into your life?

Balancing this program with everything else in my life can be tough, but having four semesters a year really helps. I usually take just one course at a time so I can manage it all—between work, kids, and other commitments. The fact that it’s fully online makes it easier for me to organize my time around what I need to do. Every day, I make sure to set aside a little time for reading and coursework. Staying consistent is really what helps me keep up.
