Post-Graduate Certificate for Internationally Trained Teacher EAP Pathway Program

Thestudents learning together English for Academic Purposes (EAP) pathway program is for students who are qualified for admission into the Post-Graduate Certificate for Internationally Trained Teachers program, but do not meet the minimum English language requirement of an IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, Cambridge English 170, CAEL 60 or Duolingo 95. To be accepted into this program, the applicant must meet one of the following English language requirements:

  • IELTS 5.5 overall
  • Cambridge English 160
  • TOEFL iBT 58
  • CAEL Overall Band 5 or equivalent
  • Duolingo 80

Program Information

The EAP pathway program consists of a 12-week intensive English language program that develops knowledge, skills and strategies for academic success.  The classes will focus on integrated practice in all four language skills:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

The EAP pathway program begins in May 6th and runs until August 5, 2021, which allows for students to practice their English in an immersive setting prior to beginning their post-graduate certificate program.

Applicants can apply to the EAP pathway through our application portal. Select course code PTOC 103 to apply. Application deadline for the EAP pathway program is March 1, 2021.
