The Faculty of Education believes that art is a vital part of education, and we love celebrating the incredible talent in our community! That’s why we were thrilled—but not at all surprised—to see our amazing alum, Hill Werth, and the inspiring program, Sistema Kingston, recognized as recipients of the 2024 Mayor’s Arts Award last week.
These annual awards highlight artistic excellence and contributions to Kingston’s vibrant arts scene. The Kingston Arts Council describes it as a way to “affirm the value of the arts as a source of creativity, innovation, and pride” while supporting the city’s cultural growth.
