The new Advanced Leadership for Social Impact Fellowship (ALSI) prepares leaders to confront complex social issues. This first-in-Canada program provides the tools, knowledge, and networks participants need to tackle the root causes of problems – from housing affordability to climate change.

Faculty of Education Associate Dean Dr. Ted Christou is a Co-Director of the program alongside Dr. Jean-Baptiste Litrico, Director of the Centre for Social Impact at Queen’s. Christou helped develop this inter-disciplinary program by supporting both the program and curriculum design.

“Queen’s is uniquely situated to lead the way in Canada through innovative programs like ALSI.” says Ted Christou.

The ALSI Fellowship is a one-year program that is designed so that people working full-time can fully participate. Sessions are delivered both on-campus and through online synchronous learning.

Christou says he is most excited by the partnerships that are being developed both across and within Queen’s that will help confront significant challenges facing our society. “Ultimately, this program is focused on working together on questions of fundamental human concern. It stands apart from other efforts at Queen’s for its commitment to action and tangible engagement with the world as it is (with the intention of supporting a brighter tomorrow).” says Christou.
