It feels like yesterday I was at Queen's Faculty of Education Class of 2010 and most days I still feel like a student! My education career began as an Educational Assistant over 20 years ago and since becoming a teacher I have been lucky to work in many interesting environments in post secondary and secondary schools. I have worked at The Virtual Learning Centre, an online secondary school that serves students all over Ontario as a part of Trillium Lakelands District School Board for the last 15 years. However, like all good teachers I need to pack my schedule to overflowing so I have taught in continuing education and as an Intervenor with folks who are deafblind on the side. I am currently a Special Education Resource Teacher in our program and every day is an amazing new challenge. On the family side of things, I married my amazing partner James in 2017 and gained two awesome bonus sons, Corey and Jayden. We also have a 7 year old daughter, Myrella, who is my biggest hero and inspiration having taught me more about life than any experience I have had so far. I can't wait to see what's next!
