IIE Series
Indigenization, Inclusion, and Equity Series
The Faculty of Education is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive community. To support our mission of developing progressive, ethical, competent, and thoughtful leaders in education, and in response to the Principal's Implementation Committee on Racism, Diversity and Inclusion (PICRDI) and the Truth and Reconciliation Task Force (TRCTF) Final Report, we established the Indigenization, Inclusion and Equity Series (IIE). This ongoing series aims to provide resources, training, and spaces to share ideas and concerns around these issues for students, faculty, and staff.
The IIE series is among many learning opportunities at Queen’s on these issues. The Office of Indigenous Initiatives has links to workshops and training offered by their office and human resources; the Human Rights and Equity Office offers online and in-person training, and the Centre for Teaching and Learning offers further resources and training on Indigenizing and decolonizing education. We encourage all our community members to take part in these opportunities.
