Lesson Plan Hope Statement

The goal of this lesson is to further develop students’ understanding of literary

devices and for students’ to consider how their critical thinking skills can help

them process and cultivate their emotions regarding the climate crisis and other

topics associated with the natural world.

Duration: Two 75-minute periods
