The construction on Duncan McArthur Hall continues.

  • The main entrance at the front of the building is still closed. You can enter the building through the library entrance at the front (please note there are stairs), and through the back courtyard entrance, which is accessible.
  • Hargreaves Way: The road that connects the back and front of Duncan McArthur Hall (Hargreaves Way) will be closed until August 30 while new water pipes are installed for Jean Royce Hall. We know this makes getting into the building a bit trickier, especially for those who need accessible access. If you’re using the accessible entrance at the back of Duncan McArthur Hall, please come in via Hargreaves Way from Johnson Street, passing the football stadium on your way. The front parking lot and library entrance will stay open, but please note that the library entrance is only accessible by stairs.
  • Construction: Student Street is under construction, and areas of it will continue to be reshaped as construction continues. Elevator and stair access will be maintained throughout the construction.
  • Noise: Expect intermittent noise as the construction continues.
  • Bike racks: the closest bike racks to the rear entrance of Duncan McArthur Hall are at the John Orr Tower residence. There is also a bike rack located next to the library entrance at the front of the building, but you will have to carry your bike up the stairs to access it.
