Two artists pull the cover off of a large colourful mural

The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) Central Branch has a new mural. On April 21, 2022 the mural was unveiled during CBC Ottawa’s My Kingston Day event. Two local artists, Francisco Corbett and Constance Intounas, ConEd’ 23, were commissioned to create the piece by CBC Ottawa and KFPL.

This is the second time Intounas has collaborated with the CBC. To promote the My Kingston Day event, Intounas was commissioned to create several pieces. The pieces appeared in posters leading up to the event and include a CBC Heart’s Kingston design.

Intounas and Corbett’s collaborative mural promotes inclusivity and draws on imagery from around the city of Kingston.
