CONT493: Green Industries, Grades 11 and 12
In this course, you’ll have the opportunity to expand on and apply your knowledge of the five sectors of green industries—agriculture, horticulture, floristry, landscaping and forestry. With universal design for learning (UDL) in mind, you’ll integrate case studies and the design process to create inclusive opportunities for learners to innovate and develop deeper understanding. You’ll plan and create resources that can be implemented in your teaching practice, and you’ll investigate and develop tools for communicating with parents, guardians and the community. You’ll explore cross-curricular collaboration and consider ways to ensure your Green Industries program’s sustainability. Advancements in green industries will be examined, with an emphasis on safety and skill development.
