Biography
Natalia Miranda Calderón is a PhD student in Education at Queen’s University. She holds a BEd in English Language Teaching from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and an MA in Second Language Education from McGill University. With over 15 years of professional experience, her work connects teaching practice, leadership, and educational policy. Her research focuses on educational policies aimed at protecting transgender and gender-nonconforming students in schools in Canada and Chile, her home country. Natalia is also an advocate for transgender students and is one of the founders of the Chilean Network of Parents of Gender-Diverse Children, where she serves as Director of Communications.
