Compensation: The stipend for this position will be between $9,500 and $13,500 (based on 0.5 course weight). Actual salary will be commensurate with years of teaching experience at Queen’s University and course weight, as per the Queen’s-QUFA Collective Agreement.
Technological Education Multi-Session (TEMS) Courses
PROF 507 Transitions and Pathways – 0.25 credit course
This course will examine the transition process that students undertake, starting from elementary to secondary school, through secondary school, and into the variety of post-secondary options currently available. Teacher candidates will explore resources that support a strong commitment to programming that responds to the interests, strengths, needs, and goals of all students. A focus on individual pathways to success will be paramount. This course will also investigate the factors that facilitate or hinder successful transitions and the importance of students, educators, parents/guardians, and the broader community working together to support students in successful career and life planning.

TEMS Qualifications
Successful primary or intermediate-senior teaching experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of Ontario schools, curricula, and policies. Demonstrated inter-personal skills and teaching ability. Ability to collaborate and work with faculty members, staff, and teacher candidates of diverse backgrounds. Related graduate degree (Ph.D. or M.Ed.) preferred, or equivalent (extensive experience of relevance to the position) may be considered. If applicable, proof that you are a member in good standing with the provincial teacher certification organization (e.g. OCT). Previous successful experience teaching in pre-service teacher education programs will be an asset.
Experience in using onQ/D2L or other online classroom platforms/learning management systems (Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas). Ability to use the learning management system (onQ/D2L) tools to interact with students. For example, the ability to participate in classroom discussion boards, grade students’ discussion contributions, grade assignments. Working knowledge of current online technologies and social media.

Alternatively, if your teaching has not been within the past 5 years, please include two letters of reference.
