Advice for New Students

Take time to consider how you can leverage your assignments and readings to benefit your current role and professional practice. For example, I focus on higher education trends and quality assurance whenever possible to stay updated in the postsecondary sector. Consider stepping outside your comfort zone when choosing elective courses. This can help you broaden your knowledge, gain new experiences, and expand your professional network.

How do you fit this program into your life?

I love the asynchronous approach of this program. I am starting with the GDE and will eventually pursue the PME. I take one course at a time to balance work, school, and personal life. I do most of my readings and research on weeknights and write assignments on weekends. I also dedicate Sundays after my morning curling game to working on assignments.
