Advice for New Students:
For new students entering Queen’s, I’d say it’s a great program with supportive, student-focused instruction that truly recognizes and responds to students’ individual needs. The faculty are approachable, the learning environment is encouraging, and the program helps you grow both personally and professionally.
Why did you choose this program?
I chose the program because it offered the flexibility I needed. I could complete it at my own pace overall, choose courses that suited my interests and needs, and continue working while studying from home. The asynchronous format made it much easier to balance school, work, and personal responsibilities.
What was one moment of the program so far that stands out to you?
What stands out most to me is how connected you can still feel to both your peers and instructors, even in a distance education program. Despite being online, there are many opportunities for collaboration, support, and meaningful interaction, which helps create a strong sense of community.
How do you fit this program into your life? How do you structure your days to fit it in?
The program fits well into my life because it offers flexibility and balance. Being able to learn from home, work while completing courses, and move through the program at a manageable pace has allowed me to continue meeting both my personal and professional responsibilities.
