Queen's Faculty of Education alumni, Dr. Jessica Chan (PhD'20, MEd'14) has been announced as Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Language, Literacy, and Early Learning (Tier II). Jessica is currently an Assistant Professor in Language Arts and Literacy Education at the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia Okanagan School of Education. Jessica's research focuses on understanding how language and literacy develop in diverse learners, including children from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and children with and without learning disabilities.
