Maureen Watkin (Provan) Con Ed 80
45 years!!!! Maureen graduated from the first Con Ed program. She began teaching French immersion at the elementary level in the Ottawa Carleton Public Board, then at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa, and supply taught in Kingston and Boston. Maureen is passionate about special education and moved on to teach at high-risk elementary schools in the Ottawa Catholic School Board ending her career in a behaviour class. In 2006 she received the Director of Education Commendation in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the Ottawa Carleton Catholic School Board. Maureen’s eldest daughter followed in her footsteps and is an elementary school teacher.
