Queen’s Faculty of Education is seeking a motivated and creative Research Promotion Coordinator to support the promotion of faculty research to internal and external audiences.
This casual, part-time, in-person role (up to 13.5 hours per week) offers some hybrid flexibility and works across several teams, including the Centre for Community Engagement and Social Change, STEAM+, Marketing & Communications, and the Associate Dean (Research).
This role is ideal for a creative, organized self-starter who enjoys storytelling, digital communications, and event planning.
Please note: This role includes supporting and running research events during regular work hours several times a year. As a result, it may not be well suited to someone who is working a full-time job during regular business hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing and publishing research stories for the Faculty website
- Managing and updating research content on the website
- Creating and scheduling social media content to promote research initiatives, events, and stories
- Planning, promoting, and supporting research-related events
- Developing newsletters and other promotional materials
- Supporting basic videography and multimedia content creation
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience writing content for websites and social media
- Experience managing website content and using platforms such as Mailchimp and Sprout Social
- Familiarity with AODA and digital accessibility requirements
- Experience using Canva or similar design tools
- A demonstrated commitment and experience advancing Indigenous, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racism (I-EDIAA)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of teams and stakeholders
Start date: September 2026
Compensation: $33.39 per hour
Reports to: Executive Director, Academic Operations and Communications
