Liz Hubbell

Liz is an Ontario-trained teacher and Queen's alumna who joined the Practicum Office after serving as an instructor and Faculty Liaison with the Faculty of Education.  She enjoys collaborating with teacher candidates, faculty, and school board partners to support accessible, rewarding practicum experiences that prepare future educators for success.

Before returning to Queen's, Liz taught in the United Kingdom as a primary classroom teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator and served as the Concurrent Education Program Facilitator at Queen's Bader College.  She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Vulnerable Learners and Inclusion, as well as a Master of Arts from the University of Sussex, where her research focused on representations of disability in English literature and culture.

In the Practicum Office, Liz oversees placements for the French as a Second Language, Technological Education, and community-based Indigenous Teacher Education Multi-Session programs.  She is passionate about supporting teacher candidates and creating inclusive, meaningful practicum experiences, in keeping with her commitment to continuous professional development and equitable access to education.
