You may notice a new feature on some profiles on the Faculty website – we are excited to share the name pronunciation guide now available in the people directory.
Name pronunciations include a phonetic spelling as well as a brief recording of people pronouncing their names. The idea to undertake this project was brought to Education’s EDID committee by MEd student Jane Mao, and is based on the work undertaken by the EDI Committee at the Department of Psychology, led by Drs. Sari Van Anders and Michele Morningstar. The goal of this project is to ensure everyone has their name pronounced correctly -- supporting a welcoming and inclusive environment at the Faculty.
