Mandate

We aim to maintain a strong presence for the arts and engage the Faculty of Education community in artistic experiences that deepen connections with the self, with others, and with learning across disciplines. We achieved this in 2022-23 by supporting the activities detailed below.

By the numbers

15 Teaching Artist Workshops

Eight teaching artists worked with instructors across several teaching areas to facilitate 15 different in-class learning experiences.

These events collectively reached over 500 participants, including teacher candidates, grad students, faculty, staff, and teaching artists.

Support for Arts Learning and Engagement in the Community

Three students were awarded the Studio Arts Workshop Support bursary to participate in arts workshops in the community. The School of English was also provided with funds to take two student groups on field trips to the Isabel Bader Centre and a performance by the Kingston Symphony.
