Biography

Rubaiyat Jabeen is currently a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Education. She obtained her M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2016, and she also holds an M.A. (Law) from University of Information Technology & Sciences, Dhaka and a B.A. (Law) from University of Information Technology & Sciences, Dhaka. Over the years, she has been working as an ESL instructor, ESL program coordinator and a law lecturer in Bangladesh and the United States of America. Her research focuses on implications of the English as a lingua franca paradigm on assessment of international students in English for Academic Purposes courses.
