Students from Queen's School of English 2015

The Faculty of Education is internationally recognized for its research, researchers, and partnerships with educators around the globe. We partner with educational institutions around the world on a variety of international initiatives, student and faculty mobility, as well as host international delegations, visiting students, and scholars. Our Queen's School of English offers English as a Second Language courses to international students and international teachers.

Indigenous Relations

Our Elder-in-Residence, Deb St. Amant 2017

The Faculty of Education thrives to create a welcoming community for our Indigenous students, weave Indigenous content into our courses, and support teachers and schools to teach and support truth and reconciliation projects. Our Elder-in-Residence, Deb St. Amant, provides support to our students in the WISE, ATEP, and ATEP Community-Based programs. Our Faculty is working closely with Imagine a Canada, an initiative of the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR), to support Ontario students, teachers, schools, and boards with Imagine a Canada projects, and we offer ongoing workshops on Indigenous knowledge for our faculty and staff.
