The Queen’s Faculty of Education was well-represented at the ceremony for the Principal’s Teaching and Learning Awards on September 20.

Our own Dr. Michelle Searle won the Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award recognizes an instructor who shows outstanding knowledge, teaching ability, and accessibility to students.

Aynne Johnston was also awarded the Education Leadership Award which acknowledges exemplary educational leadership of a faculty member demonstrated through initiatives that have a significant and positive impact on teaching and learning at a departmental, faculty, student and/or institutional level. Dean Ted Christou was part of a team that won the International Education Innovation Award. Christou is involved with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program which was recognized for its innovation in the internationalization of both teaching and learning in programs or courses.
