Concurrent Education

Queen’s Concurrent Education programs allow students to work towards completing two degrees at the same time. Both degrees can normally be completed in five years.

With the strong field-centred orientation of the Education components, the Concurrent Education program has the advantages of:

  • clarifying vocational interest
  • sharpening awareness of issues inherent in teaching and learning, and
  • achieving better integration of academic and professional studies.

Information for current students 

From the initial year, candidates are provided with in-school experiences which form the basis of theoretical studies. The Education portion of the program is developmental in nature, culminating in up to sixteen weeks of practicum in the final year.
