Queen's-Trent Concurrent teacher candidates must hand in off-campus student cards.

 

Queen's Concurrent teacher candidates who have registered and paid tuition by 1 September can validate their current card at Wallace Hall, 27 Aug-12 Sep (incl. Saturdays) 8:30-4:30, closed Sundays and Statutory Holiday Monday 3 Sep.

Education Career Services presents:

"International Teaching Opportunities" (optional)

 

This presentation will be offered again on 31 October and in the Educators Abroad class, FOCI 255.  It includes the pros and cons of teaching overseas, and an overview of opportunities in: 1) international schools, 2) government school systems in English speaking countries, 3) teaching English as Second Language, and 4) international development. Information about the Teachers' Overseas Recruiting Fair (TORF), being held at Queen’s on 25-27 January 2013, and a brief slide show of some overseas schools will also be included.

Join us at the South Practice Field (right beside Jean Royce Hall) for a fun team building challenge!  Meet and get to know your fellow teacher candidates and work together to make your way through our obstacle course and station challenges.  Let the fun begin!

*The Faculty of Education requests photos for BEd purposes (not Student Card photo). These will be given to your instructors to enable them to identify you more easily. If possible, email a clear headshot (passport type) to the Practicum Office practicum.office@queensu.ca clearly identifying yourself in the email. The Practicum Office will also be taking photos over the summer if you are visiting campus (either of these options will save a line-up on the first day). If you do not email a photo or have it taken during the summer, you must have it taken on September 4 (a photo station will be set up outside the auditorium starting at 8:15 am). Please check the Practicum Office web site for office hours and summer closures.
