Preparing for Final Year

Final Year Program Option Requirements and Recommendations

Each program option (either Primary-Junior or Intermediate-Senior) has a distinct set of requirements and recommendations for entry into the final BEd year. Candidates must complete the requirements that were in place when they entered Year 1 of the program.

For students who started the Concurrent Education Program in 2009-10 and previous years, requirements and recommended courses and deadlines for completion are detailed in the Concurrent Teacher Candidate Guides (choose the guide for the year you entered the program).

For students who began the Concurrent Education Program in 2010-11 or later, requirements and recommended courses are detailed in the Faculty of Education Calendar for the year they entered the program:

*IS candidates, please review BOTH the Teaching Subject Requirements (for all Concurrent Teacher Candidates) as well as the Teaching Subject Requirements for Queen's Concurrent Intermediate-Senior to determine the full set of requirements for each of the Teaching Subjects you wish to pursue.
