Research Interests
My main research interest revolves around the phenomenon of wisdom. For my doctoral thesis, “Wisdom In Action: A Phenomenological Study Of Wise Acts and Practice,” I am exploring the contributions wise acts and wise practice make to the development of wisdom. Related fields of interest are: adult, transformative, experiential, and workplace learning; the social construct of learning; spirituality; and the development of consciousness.

- Ongoing since 2009 with the Cooperative Education and Workplace Learning (CEWL) team under the supervision of Dr. Nancy Hutchinson - SSHRC-funded research that examines at-risk students’ successes in co-op education programs that emphasize hands-on-learning.
Teaching
I teach the FOCI-285, “Teaching in Business and Industry,” course for Queen’s Bachelor of Education program. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and MEd from Queen’s. My professional career involved many years of managerial and entrepreneurial work in the for-profit and nor-for-profit business sectors.
