Printing Facilities – Faculty of Education, Duncan McArthur Hall

A (black/white & color) printer is available in the EducTuck Shop at the Faculty of Education on Student St., room B137C (across from the Education library). The printer is operated by purchasing one of the $10.00 or $15.00 Printer Packages from e-Learning Services, room B232. (Note: The Printer Package also serves as the payment mechanism for photocopying.)

• From one of the Faculty of Education Computers (Kiosk, EducTuck shop)
• From your laptop @ the Faculty of Education

Where Can You Print From in the Faculty of Education?

Print jobs can be sent from the computer Kiosk on Student Street (across from Education Career Services office) in the Faculty of Education and from the EducTuck Shop in B137C on Student Street (across from the Education library), from the computers in B217, and from laptops in B307. In addition, students whose personal laptops meet the required specifications can send print jobs to the EducTuck Shop printers.

How to Print From a Classroom Lab, Kiosk, or EducTuck Shop Computer

Access to the EducTuck Shop printer is available from the following computer workstations:

• Classroom Lab computers in B217 and B307,
• Three computers in the e-NOOK Kiosk on ‘Student Street’(main floor hallway),
• Two computers in the EducTuck Shop (B137C).

How to Print From Your Laptop @ the Faculty of Education

Access to the EducTuck Shop printer from personal laptops is available for Windows laptop users. There are limitations to the printing service.

(*) The following limitations apply:

1. You must purchase a Printer Plan from e-Learning Services.
2. Your must have a Queen's NetID.
3. You must be able to connect to the Queen's campus network using either a wired or wireless connection.
4. You must be using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7

Frequently Asked Questions About Printing

• Can I print from my own laptop?
Yes you can!
Please take your laptop to the e-Learning Services room (B232) to have it configured for printing to the EducTuck Shop printer.


• How much does printing cost?
Standard black & white printing costs 10 cents per page. Colour printing is 50 cents per page. You must purchase a $10.00 or $15.00 Printer Package.
You also have the option of saving on printing costs and paper by downloading material to QShare, saving it to a USB key, or emailing it to yourself.


• What do I need to use the printing stations?
To print materials to the EducTuck Shop printer, you will need to purchase a Printer Package. A Printer Package can be purchased from e-Learning Services, room B232, Mon-Fri. between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.


• What printing facilities does the Faculty of Education have?
There are two printers available to students:
