E-Services

e-Services, located on the second floor of the "B" wing at Duncan McArthur Hall (Room B232), supports e-learning and the use of Information and Communication Technology at the Faculty of Education.

e-Services manages the Faculty's listservs, website and Desire2Learn (D2L), a password-protected learning management system and intranet for current students, faculty and staff, in cooperation with the Faculty's Communications Coordinator.  D2L.gif

e-Services can assist with purchasing laptops, tablets, supplies such as USB memory sticks, CDs, DVDs, printing packages and more.

Assistive Technology is an e-Services area of expertise. As a result, a variety of technologies and a wealth of information and resources related to adaptive technologies are available at the Faculty of Education. 

e-Services manages Lab Equipment Reservations for faculty, staff and graduate students and it maintains public access computers &  equipment in the following locations:

  • A computer Kiosk and digital screens near the main entrance in Student Street
  • Computer Labs in Rooms B217 and B307
  • Computer stations with networked printer in Room B137C

Wireless access is available in most places in Duncan MacArthur Hall. You will need to follow some procedures to access it. You will need your Queen's NetID and password to authenticate into the wireless system.  Check out the ITS Wireless Networking tutorials for your operating system.

The e-Services Support  Desk provides personalized assistance and support from 8:30-4:30, Monday - Friday.  Please contact Pat Deir  (613-533-6722, Room B232) for all inquiries and requests.
