Teaching in Canada
The majority of B.Ed. graduates wish to stay within Canada, especially within Ontario. In addition to the obvious interest in the Public and Catholic school boards, there are hundreds of independent schools in Ontario and other provinces that provide a significant number of teaching opportunities. In recent years, portability of provincial teacher certification has made it easier to relocate to other provinces and territories for those interested in teaching beyond Ontario.
