Screening and Keynote: Life Animated - A Tale of Autism & Hidden Potential

Queen's Faculty of Education is pleased to partner with the Limestone District School Board and the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board in presenting a keynote from award winning journalist Ron Suskind along with a screening of the Academy Award nominated documentary about his son Life Animated: A Tale of Autism & Hidden Potential.

LIFE, ANIMATED is the inspirational story of Owen Suskind, a young man who was unable to speak as a child until he and his family discovered a unique way to communicate by immersing themselves in the world of classic Disney animated films. This emotional coming-of-age story follows Owen as he graduates to adulthood and takes his first steps toward independence.

The keynote and film screening will take place twice on May 18 - at 12:45 pm and 6:30 pm. Faculty, staff and students can pick up tickets to the screening in room A101.
