Science Discovery Day
Saturday, February 4th, 2017.
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Foyer and Gymnasium
Duncan McArthur Hall
An exciting afternoon of hands on scientific discovery for children and their families has been planned for the afternoon of Saturday February 4th, at the Faculty of Education, McArthur Hall, Queen’s University. Please join us from 1:00pm to 3:30pm for our annual Science Discovery Day!
The day has proven to be a memorable one in the past—an opportunity for youngsters to explore a variety of science and technology centres in a hands on way, and a time when new teachers can observe and experience how children of all ages interact with learning materials. Each year a new group of B.Ed. pre-service teachers host the event as part of their science and technology program. This year's event will have over 75 exciting science centres for children to explore.
The hands-on activities appropriate for grade K to 6 children will be set up in the main foyer and gym of McArthur Hall. Children, their siblings and parents/guardians are invited to drop in to play and explore between 1:00pm and 3:30pm on that day.
We look forward to sharing a day of discovery with you!
Admission and parking are free (but parking is limited—please consider taking Kingston Transit to this event!)
