Schools participating as Associate Schools in the final year B.Ed. program will receive a donation of $5.00/per teaching block/per candidate in the school, to offset some of the extra costs of having teacher candidates in their schools. Associate teachers taking candidates will receive $30.00 for each week they supervise a teacher candidate. This will be pro-rated if the candidate is shared between two or more teachers. Teachers can elect to be paid individually or donate their honoraria to a department or charity. Honoraria payments will be made in May for the entire year.
Associate Teachers who have supervised a Queen’s BEd candidate during the last school year or who are currently acting as an Associate Teacher are eligible for a $100. reduction in tuition for any AQ, ABQ or Principal’s course offered either on-line or on-campus. This reduction also applies to teachers who take on the role of School Liaison and coordinate our program in their school. To apply for the discount, download the Associate Teacher Discount Form.
