Associate School Award

Deadline for 2012-2013 is Friday, February 24, 2013

Queen's University, Faculty of Education has long acknowledged the vital role of practice teaching in the development of new teachers. The practicum is successful because of the dedication and commitment of over 150 schools, and we at the Faculty of Education, Teacher Candidates, faculty and staff are grateful for this Associate School partnership. Teacher Candidates at the Faculty of Education benefit from the welcoming environment schools create. Obviously, the Associate Teachers who work directly with our Teacher Candidates are critical to the process, but so is the leadership of the principal, the friendliness and service provided by the support staff and all of the encouragement and assistance by the teachers who are not acting as associates.

To recognize this contribution, the Faculty of Education presents one Elementary School and one Secondary School with the "Associate School of the Year" award.
