In Conversation with the Prizes for Excellence in Research Recipients

Dr. John Fisher, Interim Vice-Principal (Research), cordially invites you to an engaging panel discussion entitled, “In Conversation with the Prizes for Excellence in Research Recipients.”

The event will take place in the BioSciences Complex Atrium (116 Barrie Street) on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. There will be a reception beginning at 6:30 pm, and the event will start at 7 pm. Refreshments will be available, and this discussion is open to the public.

The panel will feature the 2017 Prizes for Excellence in Research recipients: Denis O’Donnell (Medicine), Cathy Crudden (Chemistry), Liying Cheng (Education), Sam McKegney (English Language and Literature), and Pascale Champagne (Civil Engineering). The panel will be moderated by Scott White, Editor-in-Chief of The Conversation Canada. A short description of Scott’s career is available below, and an article published in the Queen’s Gazette describes the recipients’ many research accomplishments.

Scott White is Editor of The Conversation Canada. Previously, he was Editor-in-Chief of The Canadian Press and Vice-President, Content Strategy and Business Development at Postmedia Network. He has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the journalism program at Ryerson University.
