Voices and Visions: The Rosa Bruno-Jofré Symposium in EducationYou are cordially invited to attend the 2011 Rosa Bruno-Jofré Symposium in Education at Duncan McArthur Hall on Friday, April 1st, 2011. The symposium will highlight current research work of graduate students at Queen’s University and other Ontario universities. Paper presentations, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations will be held throughout the afternoon. The symposium will close with a reception.
The Rosa Bruno-Jofré Symposium, formerly named the Graduate Students in Education Symposium (GSES), is an interdisciplinary symposium that provides graduate students with a friendly and affordable opportunity to present and discuss their research or work in-progress with other students, faculty, and practitioners from the field. The theme for the 2011 symposium is Voices and Visions. We welcome submissions from all faculties and educational genres that use creative and innovative thinking to reflect this theme. We also invite anyone who is interested in education—in its broadest sense—to attend. The symposium might be of particular interest to students (undergraduate and graduate), academics, teachers, education and industry professionals, members of the community, educational developers, librarians, student services specialists, and educational support staff.
Registration is free. Please register by March 18th, 2011
