Michelle Searle

Michelle Searle is currently in her third year of Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Education, Queen’s University. Michelle’s work is a continuation of research started through her Master’s Thesis entitled, Scripting the Learning process: Evaluative Inquiry in Five-Acts. As a member of the Assessment and Evaluation Group at Queen’s, Michelle is focused on the role of the arts, collaboration and leaning in educational evaluations. Projects have included evaluation of post-secondary assessment curriculum for pre-service teaches, professional development for experienced teachers, arts-based learning opportunities, and provincially funded programs for elementary students. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Michelle completed her Bachelor of Education and worked as an educator, teaching Grades 2-12 overseas for 6 years.
