Biography
Stephen Elliott is currently Dean of the Faculty of Education and teaches in the Artist in Community Education program. He has received degrees from Queen's University in Fine Art (BFA,1979) in Education (BEd, 1980; MEd, 1989) and Art Education from Concordia University (PhD, 1999). He is a printmaker and painter with works in many private and corporate collections including The Husky Oil collection, The Toronto Dominion Bank Collection and Art Group Toronto. His current research interests focus on issues that deal with the educative aspects of "talk about art." Major topics of investigation include art criticism, aesthetics, art critiques, and art history.

Dr. Elliott has shown his art work in numerous juried exhibitions both in Canada and internationally. His works are included in a number of private and corporate collections including those of Husky Oil, Toronto Dominion Bank, and Art Group Toronto.
