Educational software is installed on the local networks. Emphasis is placed on software tools that support collaboration and general-purpose tools such as text editors, spreadsheets, database management systems, painting and drawing programs (e.g. CAD), and telecommunications programs.
A variety of curriculum-related software, provided by the Ministry of Education to all publically funded schools and Faculties of Education in Ontario, is available for use in curriculum labs.
A list of all software available through the Ministry of Education licensing program may be found at
Specialized equipment and software is available in several locations around the building. Of particular interest are the Adaptive Technology Room and the Communications Technology Lab.
Adaptive TechnologyOther computing labs are spread throughout the building and are the responsibility of the curriculum area e.g., art, science, mathematics. These labs contain equipment and software related to the curriculum area. Check with the respective area instructors for further information about what is available.
