A national one-day public festival of events that takes place annually, Science Rendezvous showcases the passion and importance of science and research.  The primary audience for Science Rendezvous is families with children, but activities appeal to people of all ages.

• engages and informs people of all ages about science and science literacy
• encourages young people to think about scientific careers
• allows universities and other scientific institutions to thank the public for their support
• trains scientists to engage the public and make science accessible.

Science Rendezvous Kingston

Science Rendezvous is a public celebration of science, and a great opportunity to showcase the excellent research in science and technology being carried out at Queen’s University.

The 2011 Science Rendezvous Kingston was held in May and it provided unique opportunities for learners of all ages to engage with physics, chemistry, geology, biology, astronomy and engineering.  

It involved faculty from three post-secondary institutions, graduate and undergraduate students, secondary school students and retirees in a collaborative effort to bring science to the streets of Kingston.
