The Faculty of Education Community Outreach Centre is an important hub for innovative local programs and projects related to literacy, mathematics and science and technology education.
The Mathematics, Science, and Technology in Education Group (MSTE) is dedicated to improving teaching and learning in the mathematics, science and technology fields in schools and in teacher education. The Group promotes: greater awareness of the links that can be made between mathematics, science and technology; the advancement of accessibility to these fields; and education for social responsibility.
The UNESCO Chair in Arts and Learning is active on a number of fronts related to its national, regional and international mission of capacity building in arts education. It collaborates with other UNESCO Chairs and Observatories in Canada and around the world.
Our researchers also engage in local, national and international partnerships and they publicize their findings through outreach activities, publications and communications.
Faculty members, graduate students and teacher candidates have developed a number of resources for teachers and parents of students of all ages. In addition to the resources available on our website, teachers are encouraged to visit the Teacher's Corner in the Faculty of Education Library.
Education Career Services facilitates opportunities for students, alumni, teachers and employers. It brings together the Faculty's local and international communities at TORF and other events and it offers a variety of resources related to careers in the field of education.
