Teachers' Overseas Recruiting Fair

Education Career Services sponsors the Teachers' Overseas Recruiting Fair, the original and largest recruiting fair in Canada, established in 1989. We have assisted thousands of teachers to find positions in international schools for over three decades.

TORF is an on-site event that provides opportunities for teachers to have face-to-face interviews with administrators of international schools. It is a week-end long event, requiring candidates to be on-site on late Friday afternoon until Sunday. A recruiting fair is not an information-gathering fair, but an opportunity to sign contracts after being interviewed.

TORF is the recruiting fair of choice for many international schools. We are renowned for having impressive placement statistics and as being a perfect, comfortable-sized fair.

TORF is organized by educators for educators. The planning committee consists of faculty, staff, education students, and alumni, who are all committed to international education. We strive to maintain a civilized, cooperative atmosphere. Candidates and schools appreciate the attention to detail and benefit from our many years of experience. We think of everything in order to facilitate a weekend dedicated to important decisions!

As a not-for-profit organization, our mission is educational and professional, aimed at providing a valuable professional development component throughout the weekend.

Candidate registration for the 2014 Teachers' Overseas Recruiting Fair will open in September 2013. The deadline for registering online is January 10, 2014.
