Bill Belsey Strives to Eliminate Bullying

Bill Belsey is the founder of www.bullying.org, a website dedicated to teaching children how to deal with bullying and how to act responsibly. He has been honoured with a Cable and Wireless ChildNet Award, which is awarded "to projects that make the internet a better and safer place for children".
Mr. Belsey is also recognized internationally for his expertise on bullying and cyberbullying. Mr. Belsey has been consulted by the United Nations, The Dr. Phil Show, ABC, 20/20, CTV, and the CBC National News.
In 2002, Mr. Belsey also conceived of Canada’s annual National Bullying Awareness Week. He continues to assist in the coordination of the event.
Winner of a Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching Science Mathematics and Technology in 1996, Bill Belsey has continued to learn and teach with technology. He was a finalist for the Canadian New Media Education of the Year Award and he has also been named one of Canada's "Global Heroes" in an exhibit at the Museum of Civilization.
